Which leads to three.
Two of anything is a collection.
Three collections is a museum.
Which leads to three.
Overheating.
I really think there are 2 main reasons that gear users say a gear is better.
1) they have a gear and need to say it's better to justify their expense. That's a reason many people rave about many things they purchase.
2) Testosterone. You can't be a real man unless you shift gears in your tractor, truck or car. Shifting gives you a feeling of power and control.
Quite likely. How would you overheat it?
Plug the transmission cooler and ignore the overheating warnings?
That would probably plug the radiator, too, and that would overheat the engine on both a gear and HST, wouldn't it?
I found this answer to be hilarious, really dumb but hilarious... lol
I own both, but if I could only have one, it would be gear...
1. you have to be kidding!! Hydros cost more to buy, and also cost more to own too...
2. that may have fit you, but it has NOTHING to do why "I" prefer gear drive. I've stated several reasons why I prefer gear drive in earlier post, so I won't repeat them AGAIN here...

If you're happy with your 'system' then that's good and it's all that matters.
You cherry picked out the part of his quote where he said....
Sure I did, why?? Because HIS 1. and 2. are WAAAAAY off base and I wasn't about to let them stand.

They aren't way off base at all. Sounds like he touched a nerve... there's a whole bunch of good reading out there by a couple fellas named Erikson and Freud that might explain it better than he can.
