Here is what's left of the cylinder.

If it were me I would see about getting that cylinder rebuilt and fully functional. Can you find any numbers on it? The one I had was a
Deere 3"x8" that looked like yours. Worked great on my Amco offset disc, wish I still had both.

Not sure that would be financially justified on a $500 disc.

There is a good chance that Motion Industries will have the materials for this. I would keep the cylinder if the disc was sold and reuse it.

Nope, not justified at all.

The cylinder works exactaly like it is supposed to. It extends and retracts which in turn raises and lowers the wheels. What more do I need? Depth control......I have a lever that raises and lowers the wheels. I can choose to not raise the wheels all the way and make them act like gauge wheels. If I find that the cylinder or remote valve bleed off too soon, or want more consistency.....some 99 cent split lock collars it what she will get. I dont need all that fancy adjustable crap like OEM had it set up. And if this cylinder ever takes a crap.....a plain 3x8 tie-rod cylinder is ~$100, and thats what she will be getting.

Yep, totally understand.

Couple years ago I pulled approximately 100 cedar trees for my neighbor. I pulled with the CTL, he piled with my Kubota and Grapple. I wouldn't take any money. He gave me a used JD cylinder like yours cause I needed a cylinder for my disc. It works great. I wouldn't have purchased this cylinder new to put on my $100 disc. :)
