34 right now...low to mid-40's as the high today. Clear, no rain...good day to finish up mulching and blowing the leaves. They should be pretty dry after the blustery day we had on Friday.
Not sure what else...might take some beer cans (empties) and do some plinking when the real work is done.

42 high of 54 later today then down right chilly tonight low of 27 but back in the 60s Sunday

AT is very close been on sections of it very beautiful. My dream is to run the ICW from Virginia to Florida.
Also to run the Moab rail out west by UTV but work seems to get in the way

I had the good fortune to "sail" the ICW from Norfolk to Titusville. I have several friends that have gone all the way around the horn and up to Tampa. My so called sailing was in my Donzi Z/33 Crossbow.

Our son, wife and 2 boys are going to MOAB next spring for the big Jeep event.

Near freezing this morning near 50 later, still wearing my shorts, but with tonight calling for mid 20's, I might have to give them up, for one day at least!

1n the 1980s I was in the hospital waiting room where my grandfather was a patient reading a magazine article about the "World's Toughest Boat Race", is an annual race via the San Marcos and Guadalupe rivers, from Aquarena Springs in the college town of San Marcos, to the shrimping village of Seadrift on the Texas coastline, a total distance of 260 miles. Non-stop. Home .
I decided to do it. I trained, went on a few short canoe races found a willing partner and support group, got all the maps together and was just about to buy the racing canoe when my partner backed out. That dream never materialized back then but I still think about it.

Some old family friends won the canoe race twice in the early years. They lived in Seadrift.

Moved a couple of tons of dirt with the bucket on the 310. Worked well for a lawn mower, I was impressed. Sure saved my back. Going down to 26 tonight, colds night so far.

Raked leaves away from the house and then mowed them for my dad. Trimmed some branches with pole saw. The ones i wanted to cut are too high..

Got zilch nada done today sore throat chest congestion high temperature. I have been overtaken by the crud

37 chilly degrees going down to 27 by far the coldest day of our late fall season but very dry and lots of small brush fires all around

30 outside high of 63 later today more seasonable for mid November

It looks like the aches and pains sweats and tight chest the flu has gotten me even though I was given the flu shot two weeks ago by my endocrinology Doctor. Looks like I wet the bed this morning

Thanks Randy probably will go if I'm still feeling poorly on Monday. Without the time to go to the Moab think I'll take the Ranger and go to the Hatfield and McCoy in December or Janurary if possible

New downstairs heating system is working to perfection house a nice 69 humidity 40 percent

Good morning all, 25 this morning going to 61 and sunny. Child abduction in Texas near Brownsville on Amber Alert. 7 year old black female.
Hope to take it easy today, just do the needed things, slept in till 5 and only got up then because wife said the boy needed checked. (my night)

25 degrees this morning.. Huge harvest moon almost didn't need a light when I walked out to the Barn.

Our son, wife and 2 boys are going to MOAB next spring for the big Jeep event.

We were in Moab last April. Great place to visit. Our plans are to be there again this year. Son is going to meet us there. We will rent a jeep for a week to tour many of the trails. It will not be during Jeep week. All the reports claim it is a mad house then.

25F this morning, moon so bright I thought there was a car in the drive with the headlights on aiming in the window. The last flu I thought I had I was going to stay in bed till it passed, wife called DR. and mentioned a new water heater installed and he said I would not have to sit in waiting room but just come in, when he mentioned the new water heater I told him it was electric so it was not Carbon Monoxide poisoning which would have the same symptoms of the flu without the fever. Like you I was changing the sheets from sweet and chilling, probably the worst flu I ever had in 61 years. He found a rash on my side and it was Lime Disease. Deer Tick had bit me when I was cutting wood. After hearing all the facts about that going untreated I am glad I went.
