After 15 Years, my BX is gone

I have a bx2200 with over 1200hrs. I just tilled the garden added manure to it and box bladed the driveway today. Couldn't do it without it. Once a year I cut twenty acres of old hay fields with it. Best purchase I ever made.

I've only had my BX for three years but it is an old friend already. I expect it to be around a very long time. Agree 100% with those who say they don't know how they survived without one (tractor that is).

My BX would be the last to go... just too darn handy to have around and cheap to keep!

The BX 2370 is still on my list so we keep watching for a used model.

I inherited a 13 year old BX22 along with assorted attachments from a friend. It has 1800+ hours on it. Its still as strong as it ever was. The only thing about it is its not as pretty as it was when it was a young BX. When the same friends wife passed away her children gave me her B7300 with a 60 inch deck. The B73 is showing over 2800 hours. I had to make a few repairs to it but nothing major at all. Its running strong as well.

Still got my first tractor I bought in '08. Kubota B2620. Got a lot of helpful advice from people especially Chuck in NH who had the same rig. He's gone now unfortunately, God rest his soul. The little B sure has made my life easier here on my 11 acre lot. I've thought about getting something bigger with more bells and whistles now and then but why bother? It does everything I need it to do. I bought a quick attach, forks and a larger bucket for it thanks to Chucks advice. Never lets me down.

Just crossed 350 hours on the B2650, picked it up in June 2014. There are days when I wish I bought an L but we always wish we had more power or more lift or more pull or more weight or more drag or more .......... lol

Arguably I overbought, it's true. I could have gotten by with a TG or something of the like. But on advice of some tractorheads on TBN, I bought the BX2200 with the 60 inch deck and a FEL. I don't regret that decision one bit!!! I enjoyed it for a number of years and eventually swapped the FEL for a rear bagger. It served me wonderfully up until this day. Today I sold it. I bought a property with no grass. Just woods, on a slope. No need for anything but leaf blowers.

It hurt bad to let it go. So many memories. Tractor rides with all of my kids when they were small. Tackling my first 50 hour service. Debating oils! lol Great great memories.

80% value retention over a decade and a half is in my opinion nothing short of exceptional. I'll grant you I cared for it, and it was low hours.

I wanted to post to thank all those who made this forum possible. I wanted to thank those who helped me along the way. I hope I helped a few folks too. This was the first forum I'd ever joined. Anybody on here today from back in 2000? The only names I recall were Bird and Trescrows. But there were many more great folks whose names have escaped me.

I have been away for a very long time, but I still have my BX. It has been a true friend, and has never failed me. As I read these posts, from some of the most current, to some of the oldest ones, the one thing that is a staple, is the reliability of the Kubota name, especially the BX. I also see a few names on this thread that I know from way back, when Rex was a pup, and I didn't have many gray hairs. It is good to know that my old friends are still around after all these years.

I have heard some, on this site, that were tractor shopping refer to the BX and other SCUTs as "overgrown garden tractors".

When I hear that I always think they have obviously never owned a SCUT. There is sooooo much difference between the two. Especially with a FEL.
