Lets see your Mahindra!

In the photo with the pallets on the forks; is it a one piece design, or one pallet atop the other?

Yes that pallet in the 1st picture is a one piece but I soon realized that wasn't the way to go when driving over uneven ground, so I started building them 1/2 that size and stacking them when I put them in the wood shed.

Each box used 2 pallets and 2ea 1"X6"X8' poplar boards that I milled last year. I split the poplar boards to 1"X3" and used them on the corners, along the top and bottom where I needed the extra strength.

I upgraded from a Craftsman GT5000 garden tractor to a Mahindra 1533. The 1533 gave us access to our land.
After cutting the lawn, I moved on to cutting/clearing brush and we had us a nice evening igniting the burn pile from the scraps.

Are you saying I bought a girly tractor?

LOL..... No not at all... My wife is quite the outdoors type, I call her my pioneer woman, she has raised 4 scrapping boy and would probably kick all our butts.... but she is only 4' 8" tall and she would be able to climb up on that one...

Girret, what brand is that winch. I know the owner of Hudson who sells uniforest. Do you feel it is good for firewood etc? And skid plate on your tractor?

Mike69440, that max can lift a lot. When I was a kid, we borrowed my friends grandfather's tractor. I think it was an international 444 or similar. We had that thing standing on end pulling wagons of 8 foot logs over stumps etc. Lucky we weren't killed. We were pretty rough on that tractor. They were heavy good built tractors. Now that I bought this little one for my mother who since passed I'm a little more gentle. Maybe more wary on what they can do. I'd load my forks up with 4 foot wood and fill the bucket and gently roll down a make shift trail to the truck road. Seemed good. I'd go slower then low gear would allow with the hydro peddle to the floor. Skid plate was a good piece of mind. A logging winch would be nice
