I gave $1050, couldn't get him to budge any more, he knew what he had.

That's MORE than a fair price. BUT IMHO It doesn't matter. It's in beautiful shape.

Dake is an excellent example of Made in USA quality.

I have a Dake No. 0 1.5 ton) arbor press. (and a 10 ton Roper Whitney punch pictured on the left)

Top notch customer service from Dake as well. I called for info on the press serial # and they were more than helpful, even after I told them I was looking at buying it used. All parts still available for presses well older than mine. I ordered a new flat ram nose, as it was not with it.

very very nice... I asked price because that is excellent American made quality machine. He did know what he had. Way to preserve a treasure, Happy!

Here is the top half of the tool box I mentioned earlier that I bought at an auction over the summer. I keep this in the barn and It has a matching bottom half in my garage. fairly well built and in the USA.

I priced new boxes and even the elcheapos are fetching a couple hundo. This one also had about $50 worth of tools in one of the drawers that was stuck shut. I got it home cleaned and oiled it up and it is a great box for $50. I like that it is a little crusty and MIUSA.

I found this old Stanley router in a toolbox from my Uncle Charlie who passed in the 1970s. It was in storage. Probably dates from the 1960s. Still works fine. He always put long cords on his power tools, I learned that from him. Never have to fight a plug getting caught on something.

An early Sears Roebuck Sabre saw I picked up at auction for a couple of bucks and it really doesn't like for people to change his name to jig saw. Works like new. If someone knows how to research the manufacturer and date of Sears tools by Mod. No. I'd appreciate that info.
