VERY upset I am at the quality of the tires on my BX25.
I think I was one of the first to grab one of these jewels about
5 years ago or so now. I looked at the rear tires a couple of days
ago and saw significant cracking / crazing just out from the bead
about 2" or so. Makes me MAD.

On another note I seek a pair of rear rims only.

Mine is a 2011 vintage, 1500 HRs, sets outside, and tires still look like new.

Long time no chat SB. Take another look in the AM at your tires on the sidewall.
Maybe I just got a bad batch. Well come to think of it I noticed it on one rear tire.
I will investigate to the enith degree and report back w/ pics.

I got my BX25 in the fall of 2008 when they first came out, and I have seen no cracks at all in the tires. Maybe you got a bad batch?

Thanx for the input check. As I said I will photo document and post up soon what I speak of.
Makes me so mad....

It seems the tires on the BX have been hit or miss. The ones on our BX2200 bought new in 2003 are fine, but we had to replace the fronts on our BX2660 bought in 2008.

Just looked them over today while having a little sunshine. No cracking or visible weathering. My only tire problems have been the standard front tire leaking; fixed w/tubes, bent rim (my fault) and flats by my folies.

Around here - extended tire life means keeping them out of the sun. When I traded in my 1982 tractor, in 2009, there was normal tire wear but no crazing or cracking on either front or rear tires. If you have cracking and have kept(stored) them out of the sun - you got a bad set of tires.
