Tractor
Kubota 2370-1/ FEL
So my brand new 1.7hrs 2370 was delivered today. I did a up close walk around of the tractor and noticed some flaws that kind of bother me. There seems to be kind of alot of rust and fading for a brand new tractor. (see pics). Also almost immediately the turn signals and hazard lights stopped working. I already called the dealer and they say they are going to come to my place to look at it on Monday. Could be from when they installed the LED lights. Am I being paranoid or should I say I want a different tractor? I don't really want to wait any more and we have some snow coming Monday. Should I just except the fact its a tractor is this will happen? What would you do?

The rust wouldn't worry me so much although they could have touched it up before delivery. Hopefully a critter didn't get into the wiring though! Was this fro Ahearns? They seem to move inventory pretty quick so I am surprised to see the machine weathered like that if its from them.

It's aged inventory that sat outside. When I bought my BX2670, my dealer offered a $500 discount for aged inventory, which was faded quite a bit, but not as much as yours. I declined. It cost me $500, plus another few hundred because the aged had a standard 60" MMM. The one I bought, has the drive-over.

I looked carefully at all the photos, and none of that rust is serious or out of the ordinary. It certainly wouldn't bother me. BX tractors come partially assembled in an open-frame crate, and may sit outside at the Kubota plant or at the dealer for months before they are assembled for display or to sell to a customer. I didn't see any fading; if it was a real exposure problem, the orange paint would look faded or chalky, but the orange paint on that tractor looks great to me.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I don't think another tractor will be any different.

^Ditto, try using some 303 on all your plastic and rubber parts. Good stuff Maynard. Enjoy that machine.

Looks to me like that tractor sat out in the open for a while and was not detailed very well prior to delivery. There's really nothing that's going to happen functionally to a tractor because of minor things like that, but it's just not very professional to be delivering new equipment in such condition. A unit that's had some weathering should get a extra hour or two of pre-delivery prep to clean it up.

With those things noted, there is also much to be said for the practice of directly examining equipment prior to purchasing it.

Buy some touch up paint, and go use it.

This. Clean up wire a wire brush and touch up with paint. If you looked at tractor before purchase you should have seen this and had the dealer take care of it. Ask him when he comes out Monday, they still might take care of it or at least supply you with some paint.
IMO its not that big a deal. I'd have done it myself by now.

I did notice one spot and asked if the tractor was brand new, I was assured it was and only had 1.5hrs. You're right I should have looked more closely but I was too anxious and excited. In all fairness I rushed the dealer to get it to me before the storm on Monday. They were going to install the mower and brushgaurd but I said I would pick it up later if they could get it to me today. They maybe did want to prep it but I pushed to get it. Im just going to touch it up. I feel more at ease, Thanks guys! I also think I got a pretty good deal.

This was not Ahearn it was Toreku in Ayer.

Yep - as others said on a tractor it is not that unusual. Use it and enjoy it!
Congrats by the way!
