Not the reason I didn't go with wood in the new shop, age & arthritis, chainsaws are too hard on my hands anymore!

Went with a "mini-split" heat pump instead, needs a little help in really cold weather, otherwise it does a good job for me.

I'm getting the tractor prepared in the morning. School is already cancelled. Somewhere around 12" of snow and a good wind will equal 6-10 ft drifts in my driveway. Low around -20 Friday and Saturday night.

Always have something going in the shop........just started restoration on a 1905 horse drawn oil wagon.......will take several months.

Mid teens with low of 8 tonight, slight breeze

Used the snowblower to clear the drive and the state's plow berm they are so kind to see that I have something to work at. As I had the blower out anyway I plowed clear paths around the 1 acre pasture/wood lot so the dogs could make their patrols.

For 'in-house' activity I do jigsaw puzzles with the TV running. Gonna be mostly history channel series on WWII for most of the winter.

After I clear 3 driveways and my own, fuel up and park it, you will find me on the net doing whatever. Sometimes it is you tube, sometimes it is writing email and sometimes I am online and playing a game. Video game are great time wasters.

I just putter kick back in basement shop.

Will have to bring indoors today, the liquid stuff in my garage (not heated) that may freeze. It's forecast to go below zero Saturday night. Won't have to deal with piles of snow like some of y'all.

But freezing rain could be worse as is also forecast.

How about folding some laundry and changing the bed sheets once per year? That's a good indoor chore.:ashamed:

Well.... Its a little after 4 here and 10F. Couple hours til sunrise when I expect it will be around 5F. When its this cold outside, I find inside things to do. Too many parts - hands, elbows, shoulders - ache when out in the cold. I still go out and enjoy the sunshine and when all the parts that are going to hurt do hurt - I run in and take a HOT shower and I'm mostly all better again.

Otherwise - I enjoy reading technical manuals and watching a FEW shows on TV AND again I can understand why my good friend spends his winters in Arizona.

Guess I'll just stay home, hang out on the Tractor sites, drink a little beer (got enough to last a couple days) and maybe make some BBQ sauce and help Sharn Jean make some snacks for the Elks Lodge Christmas party.

You had to mention that didn't you. I have 3 loads of laudry sitting around the living room that I need to fold today, change the bed, hang up cloths, GI the glass top stove, put the chairs up, pickup all hte dog toys and sweep the house. If you need a clue: The housekeeper will be here in the monring .
