Security system is cellular. Records and retains everything for seven days. I have option to save any portion of what is recorded. No wires to cut and by the time they unplug it is still recorded off site which I can access anywhere anytime. I don't have to feed it, it doesn't tear anything up and I don't have any crap to watch out for. I worked in a plumbing shop for over nine years. Was around some of the most viral smelling crap you can think of. There was a dog pound on the base I worked at and we had to some times unstop the drains in the dog runs. All the stuff and every thing I came in contact with dog crap was the only thing that ever made me puke. I can't stand it. I just make me sick knowing the dog licks his butt and then people let them lick them like their kissing them. May as well just reach down and grab a hand full after their done dropping it and have a taste. I respect those who have them and take care of them and give them a purpose in life. But no respect for those who get them and let them run at will and don't do anything with them but maybe feed them every now and then. My cattle and chickens don't invade their space. Theirs shouldn't invade mine. Simple as that.
Yeah I don't agree that dogs should run free and I feel that the owners are 100% responsible for the dogs actions, if there letting there dog run, that's just asking for trouble.
Heck in Ohio if my cattle got out and hurt someone, I could get sued and lose my house, and last Tuesday I looked out my back yard and my cattle were all out in the back yard headed to the neighbors, I slipped on my boots, had a few choice words going back to the barn and found the gate open and the chain on the ground, idk who did it but I think it was more of kids paying games, luckily I was home to get them pinned back up. I soon put a heavy chain and lock on the gate so a passer by isn't tempted, honesty lock I call it.
So despite how much you try people can come along to sabotage, same with dogs and at the end of the story, the owner is at fault.
One thing my dog does is puts me in a better mood, I can be out at the barn and things aren't going right, but as soon as I open that door that dog is running around the house with a toy in his mouth wanting to play, excited as can be to see me. I end up playing with him and after 15mins I'm relaxed and calm. There's many benefits to a dog as there is many drawbacks. As for the dog pooping in the back yard, I can care less, my yard is big and I don't even use the part of the yard he poops in so I'm not dodging land mines all the time, he poops about 40-50yds from the house. At the most I get a whiff of poop when I'm cutting the grass on the riding mower, by the time I get done the tires are mostly cleaned out s no big deal.
I lived in my house for about 6 months without a dog, house stayed cleaner longer but felt more empty without one, I'm just used to having one in the house, was always one in the house growing up.
