Kinetics are only faster if you have wood that's easier to split, put a big crotch or tough wood to split on one, and the fun begins.

Roger, what did that splitter run you and what options are on it. I really like that splitter.
It was $3,330. It came with a log lifter (and stabilzers), tool tray and cover. It has many improvements over a Super Split. The splitter has an adjustable height, large work table, high ground clearance, retractable hitch, and the engine sits low for a low center of gravity.

Is that a hydraulic lift? Never mind. No hydraulics are on it. How hard is the lift to use?
First of all, the guys at Split Second have been good to me, so I'm not trying to make them look bad...but at the EXPO this fall, I watched them have to bam bam quite a few chunks as they demoed it. It's a good splitter, but like the SS, it's not as fast as a good hydraulic splitter when you get into tough wood. That was proven very handily at the competition I showed above. Thanks for your replies. Seems like there is a discrepancy here. 94bullett says his Kinetic has split everything he has thrown at it, others have said they are weak and have trouble splitting anything that isn't straight grained.
I don't mean to start a pissing contest here but I personally would like to get to the bottom of this.

Secondly, that SS VS TW vid above has been debunked numerous times. There's NO table grate on the TW, but there is a table on the SS. That makes all the difference in the world when it comes to speed.
I could cherry pick a vid of a SS bamming away on tough wood, and I know that same wood would have went right through my TW.
Anyway, it's all about what you want, both styles are good splitters.
