I'm headed into Oklahoma this afternoon on a duck hunting trip really hoping it don't get too bad...

Leaving east central Georgia about 4pm this afternoon headed into the Nowata Oologa area with any luck we should arrive around 5-6am.

Well, the ponds around here in Eastern Kansas are covered with ducks and geese. Mostly geese though. Nasty things.

We are looking into going to Kansas as an option we have a week planned and so far haven't been on a single hunt just scouting. If you know anybody willing to let us hunt PM me please.

Over the past 30 years there's been a lot of housing developments and small acreages (1-5 acres) built on. They all wanted to complete the move to the "country" with large ponds and/or small lakes built into the development. And of course they wanted geese!!!! Now they hate em. Tearing up golf courses. Eating flower beds and leaving the "evidence" in the well manicured lawns. Seems the Honey Moon is over.

That's what I told my Son-in-Law when he was complaining about it. He saw no humor in that.

Ok...we got snow last week. Then on Sunday night we got rain. Temps are holding in the low-mid 30's range during the day and dropping into the 20's at night. With that background, you can probably guess what my gravel driveway looks like (and probably will until May). The town plows it for us but they keep the plow up an inch or so and there is also a bit of a crown in the driveway. I hate the thought of pouring salt on it so was thinking about a small tow-behind disc to cut some grooves into the sheet. With our daytime temps the sheet will go "rotten" pretty quick if I can cut some ribbons in it. Anybody have any thoughts?

I suspect that your estimate of May is probably fairly accurate if you don't salt it. Your grooves will fill with water during the day and freeze solid overnight so the next day you'll be right back where you started.
