You are lucky if you didn't get it,media hype or not.We went thru one, very serious.Main transmission lines ,huge metal towers came down.We had people without power for six weeks. We were lucky, lost some trees and a few local power lines and telephone but only were without for about four days.Ran four house with a little 2500 watt generator. Now the whole family has their own generators. As usual, the media hyped this out way beyond what it was. At least in Kansas City anyway.

We are looking into going to Kansas as an option we have a week planned and so far haven't been on a single hunt just scouting. If you know anybody willing to let us hunt PM me please.Well, the ponds around here in Eastern Kansas are covered with ducks and geese. Mostly geese though. Nasty things.

Over the past 30 years there's been a lot of housing developments and small acreages (1-5 acres) built on. They all wanted to complete the move to the "country" with large ponds and/or small lakes built into the development. And of course they wanted geese!!!! Now they hate em. Tearing up golf courses. Eating flower beds and leaving the "evidence" in the well manicured lawns. Seems the Honey Moon is over.![]()
