66°F and no rain. Understand a major storm headed this way for the weekend.

I believe I have all the pieces for my solar upgrade. Now for cooperative weather next week. Dry and not windy would be nice.

Wonder how those black walnuts compare to our macadamia nuts? I've husked by hand (wearing gloves after first blisters healed). Have a special cracker as they are so hard. But sooo good either raw or roasted.

David, macadamia nuts are yummy, and seriously expensive to buy. Those were always "party nuts" at our house, came out on special entertaining occasions. Usually there were peanuts...

Hi all. 70 degrees here just SW of Abilene TX.
Wife just texted me from home in Oklahoma. Says the squirrels are a lot happier since I cleared the hillside with the Kubota and made the yard larger.
"They can now make faster time from the bird feeder on the deck to the deer feeder at the edge of yard without all those obstacles that was in the way!

An hour and a half on the pole saw tires me out, but it sure makes the job so much easier. I love the saw.

And I'll take 55° in January anytime, down to 45 now.

I got the 'puter up and running again.
But the Kioti is down with a no start situation. All relays are good. Air cleaner a little dirty but not critical.
So the chains didn't get put on.
