Yes, with LEDs, you need to check the color temperature. 3000-4500 Kelvin will be kind of yellowish. 6000 or 6500 Kelvin will be a bright white. As the color temperature goes up past that, the light becomes more "blueish"One thing about LEDs is the color can differ quite a bit from one type to another. The first link I posted is a very bright white light. The 2nd link LEDs are bright, but bluish is color...they don't appear as bright and I think that's more due to the color then actual output.
I traded out my sodium lamp, removed the extra hardware and installed a regular LED lamp on a simple photocell. I don't have or need very many watts, my LED flood lights turn on when they detect motion. I just want some light so I can see if anything is going on. I really like LED lights.
Perps prefer the dark.
Yes. It is my belief that they don't like sensor floodlights. And cameras.
