Lawn Aerators and weight for BX25

I've used the 36" Xtreme Alternating Depth model with our BX2670, which is comparable sized. I even loaded/unloaded off of a Hudson tilt trailer without tilting the deck. It was a low profile trailer, but I was impressed anyway!

Pics from my lawn.

I've used the Alternating depth model for 2 straight seasons. My lawn definitely shows improvement!

The trailer used is shown here. It isn't very pretty, but the beastly Dodge is!

Thanks! The info on the height of the weight really makes a lot of sense and I would prefer to have the weight lower due to the fact our "lawn" is a continuing bunch of hills.

The pic really help and give me a better feel for it. The 36" does seem to work well on the BX and fix up nicely. Looks like I will need to order one in the next month or so (soon as I fully recover from Xmas that is - lol)

Tried the 36 EA aerator out and it does a good job pulling plugs. Did find there is no way I can run it without the loader or a weight bracket on the front of our BX. I tried it with nothing on the front and as I came up the slight slope out of the yard into the driveway I lifted the aerator and as I pulled forward the front wheels lifted a solid 14-16" of the ground. Kind of makes steering a bit difficult. Had a devil of a time getting into the back barn so I could get the loader on (Thought I was going to have to leave the Aerator and then get the loader and come back..LOL)
Oh well - Just wanted to confirm what the other guys are saying about making the front end light. On our hilly land it can not be safely used without something to weight the front end. The aerator does work very well just heavy for a little tractor.

I have a BX 24 , and a lesco 48 inch aerator and use it commercially . I am around 500 lbs . The 48 works great

BXs are very light on the front. You really can't do anything with out a ballast on the front. If you get in a situation like that again you can always back up the hill.

Thanks! I just put out some fertilizer with preemergent this past weekend & washed/waxed the mower!
Can't wait!

I'll probably aerate in another month when i put the 2nd round of fertilizer out.
