I had no idea a brush hog would so this type of work! I'd be scared of branches etc hitting hydraulic lines and filters under the machine. Do you add skid plates to protect things?

I went in my back area that had grown up into trees and I cut off anything over 3" with the chainsaw and then took the bush hog into the rest. 28 hp Ford on a 5' bush hog taking it slow but there were trees that I had a hard time knocking over with the loader so they would go under. Between the loader bucket and the front axle they are knocked over pretty well. I didn't dare back up. I also left it over winter to let the splintered stumps rot down a little before I went back over so I didn't ruin a tire.

Wow not bad. Mine had a bad injector pump from the factory but once they figured that out is been smooth sailing up until a few weeks ago when the diff lock shaft seal started leaking oil. Should have it back from the dealer this week i hope. I have been really impressed with my tractor and how much it will lift.

No Skid plates. I think of it as a semi fragile tank. There is somethings I probably should never get in, but I do. I do try to keep the bucket down about where I have the blades with a tad bit of a curl to the bucket.

If you have the bucket straight or down and hit something with it you may find out your tractor was equipped with an ejection seat they didnt warn you about. You know russians or deleted emails. With a little curl to the bucket the front end loader will bounce up and make some racket hopefully giving you enough time to stop and make the choice to go over, under, through or around what ever obstacle you just found.

Max 26 continues to impress for its size/weight @ 32 hrs. On the clock. Jack legs dumped a big Queen palm, a 25 ft. Pine log, cut up wood, branches and all kinds of crap on a lot we own. The little Mahindra pushed the whole pile to the middle of the lot trees and all no sweat. I cut down 6 small to midsize oaks and trimmed the rest of the trees made a big pile of brush the little Max pushed and rolled the whole pile in one pass. We have not seen a nice blue sky in 7 days. Be careful you don't put a stick thru your grill.
The Max got good loader lift strength and now with my L1526 curl cylinders on the ML205 loader, the little Max has all the capacity it can take.
This year I finished cutting in the perimeter road around our pasture using mostly my Max26.

Thanks Mike, 10-4 on the stick in the grill ornament. Soon I'll be doing the 1526 curl cylinders. I was able to find out a little more about the modifications, although the Max 28 and 26 are basically the same there are a few differences that make the swap a little more labor intensive. I decided to work within the stock capabilities of the loader curl for now and concentrate on building up my arsenal of implements. I think I will do the upgrade cylinders right before the wicked grapple and 3rd function. Something I noticed when using the loader in heavy piles is instead of coming into the pile level and low on the pile and having to back out to get it to curl instead come in the pile with a little curl already in as you go into the pile a little higher up it will curl on through it then work lower on the pile as you go. I suspect that with the grapple and the scrappy lift capacity there won't be any way around the weak curl cylinders with heavier logs and stuff. I appreciate your suggestions on how to incorporate the cylinder pin arrangement from the 26 to the 1526 .

It been a while sense I posted any new "Whatcha Been Doing with Your Mahindra" pictures. It's not because I haven't been using it, its more like I've been to busy using it to take pictures. Here are some from last weekend when I was out twitching in some logs we cut a few weeks ago for next years firewood.

Mine are hard at work in the barn, hooked up to their battery tenders. My 2555 is stuck at a little over 30 hours waiting for Ma Nature to dump some more snow... And my 5035 @ a little over 400 hours, is playing hide and seek it the back of the barn waiting for Ma Nature to get with the Spring/Summer/Fall thing.... They also serve that sit and wait.... :)

Jerry,
Ship shape is gonna take a while. It was two floods last year. One in the Spring and one December 3rd. We have just dried out from the Dec. flood.
Sitting that watergate by myself was a pain. Water was still dribbling as I made my trench cuts for the rebar reinforced posts. I used the shovel to heighten the banks to contain the stream. Water seeped in by some roots and filled the trenches. The trench sides fell in so much, I had to dig it out again after trying to sit the posts. By the time I got the posts set and plumbed in on my side of the line, I had to add wood concrete forms, or I would have need a concrete truck!
The Mahindra needed help from the CAT sitting this huge "job".
hugs, Brandi

Didn't hear about the December flood until now. Sorry, Sis, but when I think of Texas I think of dry sand, scrub brush, cactus, tumble weeds, and cow pies.. Hard to get my feeble mind to relate it to floods and all that clay.... [[[ Don't shoot me .... :) ]]]

Why should I shoot you? Clay is good for making ponds.
