You might be interested in contacting this business by googling "All States Ag Parts", should be the first result on the page. They deal in salvage. I have not purchased from them, but I entertained the idea of replacing some fiberglass body parts and contacted them. Depending on the part, they run about 40 to 50% of retail according to the rep I spoke with.

Great idea. There are also lots of salvage yards in the upper Midwest such as Ohio, Wi, MN, MI and around there. They had many, many salvage farm tractors. I used to see their ads in the back of farm publications such as Farm Week, although I no longer subscribe. A search shouldn't be too hard.

UPDATE. I totally stripped the block and took it to a machine shop to check the water jackets for cracks(pressure test). The shop couldn't fine and cracks but the only pressurized the block to 20psi and use soapy water to try to find a crack. Should I take it somewhere else that would use more air pressure (around 40psi). I'm just nervous that 20psi isn't enough pressure to find a small crack.

Better than nothing, I guess. You can do a poor man's magnaflux check on ferrous heads or blocks by sticking a large
magnet to it, then sprinkling it with steel filings. If any crack, the flux lines are disturbed and it will be visible.

Thinks for the options for a new head. I contacted Messicks and New Holland they both told me that they can't get them anymore and they don't have any remans either. Said they could maybe get me a new one from Shibaura (China) but it would take about a year. I also contacted diesel cranks and they have some to fit a n843 but will not fit a n843L(which is my motor). The head has to be stamped p832 to fit my motor. W

Shibura is a Japanese company, not Chinese, but who knows where they have stuff made.

The 1st link is for All State ag parts ( $1050 ) and it reads casting number p832 ( and a couple of other numbers ???

The link below states p832 oem head :

Shibaura P832 OEM Cylinder Head Remachined BA111177, SBA1111754, SBA111177 | eBay

I just googled p832 head and am getting all kinds of links FYI . I myself amd leary of trying to fix a cracked head as with any crack , you have to stop the crack from
continuing first . Putting the time and labor into the tractor to only have it crack again would be a pain . :2cents:
