Wolves

I'm the guy that shoots the small buck Deer, let the trophy buck pass. It deserves it.

One thing for sure. If that Wolf had been equipped with half the technology the hunter was we would be looking at a different picture.....

Being in camo, I am guessing he was bow hunting. But that may have just been an under shirt. Dunno.

I'm gonna say totally camo'd and using a game caller.

Gun in the lower left of picture. As a bow hunter myself...if he did get it with a bow he's a better man than me!

Not sure if that is gun or not. I almost always have a gun on me. I am not sure MN laws regarding bowhunting with one. But the wolf hunt was probably either or, so shouldn't be an issue.

People bow hunt hears. I wouldn't be afraid to bow hunt a dog, from a tree.

You think that is some great advantage? Granted the caller would replace the tracking and the nose. I don't see it as some vast unfair advantage though. The wolf isn't wearing orange either.

I've killed elk, deer and coyote from a tree. Wolf would be no different
It's a gun in the picture, in my opinion. What you see is the sling.

My mother spotted a wolf in our backyard that she swore was around 180 pounds. I told her that'd be a big wolf and asked her about the color, wondering if it was the same male I had seen several times within the five miles area in the past year. My mother described the wolf she saw as a beautiful grey. I told my mother that if it is the same wolf as I've seen, that he is a big boy but I hazarded to guess that our local male wolf is about 140-150 pounds.

And then I found out about this: a guy shot a 182 pound wolf over in Cook, MN, in 2012. This isn't a bear.

That looks like a cross between something other than wolf. I wonder if was a breeder that turned him loose.

Have you ever used a game caller? Totally changes the dynamic. Only using an inheat ***** for bait would be more effective.

Yep, that beast look like it could spar with a Bengal tiger ... at least for half a round
