Common to have to re-touch paint on new attachments?

If they took the time and necessary prep to powder coat or paint it automotive quality it would probably cost $100.00 or more per unit. It would still come off.

Or MORE of the implement business will move to Korea, which will produce the implements with automotive quality finish which will NOT come off, then export to the USA with a retail price 20% lower than ETA's. I have not seen it yet, but before long some ambitious Korean implement producer will direct sell to US and Latin American customers with "FREE" shipping from Korea, using eBay, Amazon, Alibaba and/or Mercado Libre, as their customer intermediary.

Note: ETA sells multiple lines of imported implements in addition to their North Carolina manufactured implements.

ETA cannot measure the number of customers, unhappy with ETA implement finish, who buy elsewhere rather than favor ETA with repeat business.

Where ETA is located was once the heart of US furniture production. Today that mega volume of furniture is imported from Asia and many Hickory-Newton-Conover, North Carolina workers remain unemployed or have been forced to relocate.

Paint remains ETA's weak link.

No, but we can measure the near 50% sales increase through the first two months of 2017. We can not keep up with demand.

~~~ And good for ETA, Travis. My several purchases, the first years ago, have contributed to ETA's success. I am on ETA's side, simply disgruntled receiving implements with PAINT QUALITY inferior to BUILD QUALITY.

Improved paint will contribute to job security.

Yes, and we are extremely grateful to you and all of our loyal customers.

We are really driven by the feedback illustrated in this pic. If we do not live up to it, we do our best to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied.
Like I said, keeping paint pristine on cross country trips is a challenge we'll keep working towards.

I learned that we did offer to reimburse/credit the OP's card for paint yesterday before this thread was started.

I get the desire to start out fresh with a good coat of paint. My Kubota was delivered with a gouge on the top of the bucket. I mentioned it to the salesman, and he offered to send me some paint, which I declined (have plenty of Orange paint).
I am glad to see the vendor responding in a positive fashion here on TBN... I will likely be buying a grapple from them eventually.

I purchased a King Kutter box blade at Rural King a couple of years ago. It was standing on end in their parking lot. I asked them to load it in my truck which they agreed to. the guy hit the blade with the forklift to slide it out where he could get ahold of it and the bottom end (as it was standing) got a bunch of major scratches from the little rocks on the asphalt that were under the end of the blade. I immediately demanded a reduction if i was going to take it because the scratches were deep - all the way to bare metal, numerous - probably a dozen that were over 6" long, fresh, and in a very visible part of the implement and not an area likely to get scratched from operation. They knocked 450 off and gave me a rattle can of paint to fix it.

Would you expect new attachments to be received with paint damage, in some areas down to the bare metal? Perhaps I'm just being picky, but thinking I should not have to go and find matching paint, then do touch-ups on a new pine needle rake from Everything Attachments to prevent it from rusting.

Don't listen to the guy demanding powder coat. I hate the stuff. Once it gets chip, it rusts faster than regular paint because moisture gets behind the powder coat and the coating keeps the moisture there. Why pay more for something that has less quality and is a pain to touch up later.

Just keep painting them and people can touch up later if needed.

Powder coat would be ETA weak link if they did it, but they don't.
