Trespassers shot

Maybe they found their passports just like the 911 hijackers.

I'm pro-gun and have a concealed pistol permit but I'm not pro-murder. Hard to tell with this story if it was justified or not, but hiding bodies after the fact and not calling authorities seems guilty of murder to me. You never know how you will react in any given situation but I can say without a doubt, threaten my family and bullets will fly. Trespass on my property, not worth taking a life for.

I have always been told, the first party to call 911 has an advantage so to speak... not calling and hiding bodies are just plain bad choices regardless of the rest of the story.

I've found that over all the 35+ years out here - very few who come down my driveway are doing it just so they can say - "I was there." The vast majority have something in mind that I would not approve of. They all come up with a good story - "I was lost, etc, etc" - when I confront them in my yard. Its my feeling that most are checking out how the driveway might provide access to hunting areas.

You're right and in this case you didn't have the land owner call, you didn't have the people being shot call, and you didn't have the women that were called and went looking for the guys call until many hours later. I think it's clear no one did the right thing in this story.

It seems when the adrenaline gets flowing from a percieved threat then it is time to try to be calm and think things out just so we wouldn't get into the pickle this guy is in.

One could wonder about the rest of the story

Best guess...

Authorities are still trying to figure out fact from fiction because there is probably a lot of lying going on with all involved. I'm guessing the landowner was up to something illegal which the woman knew about. The woman in question "hired" (God knows how she did it) the 2 guys to do something on the property. The guys may or may not of known what they were getting themselves into, but money is on the woman knowing. I'll go out on a limb and think that the woman in question even knew the landowner from social circles or she had a boyfriend who did.

Yep...I'm betting they were up to raiding the guy's "Vegetable Garden" and he took offense...grave offense.
