Negative on connecting to the rear axle. I guess I'll just be careful when using the loader. I'm mostly just moving loose gravel at this point. It is a "Load Master" loader. I couldn't find any info on it when I was looking at it. Functions fine and hopefully won't have any issues.

This is the three point lever I was asking about. I'm assuming I should keep it in the locked up position when not using it. Sound right?

Its rare for these little Yanmars, but front end loaders added to ag tractors have a reputation for breaking the tractor in half at the bell housing. For example imagine carrying heavy gravel and driving over rough ground. The subframe to the rear axle stiffens the tractor against this breaking force.

For that 3 point lever use Up or Down then return the handle to N after you reach the intended height. Leaving it at UP will cause the pump to push maximum pressure against unnecessary resistance. The pressure will go out the relief valve, usually with a squeal and the oil will become heated. At N, a check valve will hold the 3-point at the intended level and the pump will circulate oil without resistance.

1610D is a great model, maybe the best of the small Yanmars. If I didn't need low overall height to get under my orchard trees it would be my first choice.

Thanks for all the help. Having way too much fun with this thing. I'm just moving stuff around at this point just to have fun. Still way to wet to till or mow.

Neighbors probably think I have lost it. I'm surrounded by farms so now everybody has a tractor.

I have seen loaders like that before, I think maybe it was in the north east I have seen them? I just don't remember though, and thought I saw them new on some recons somewhere of some brand?

"For that 3 point lever use Up or Down then return the handle to N after you reach the intended height."

Does that 3ph lever work differently than on the YM2000 or240? On my YM2000B if you want to raise a little you bump the lever up a little, if you want to raise a lot you bump the lever a lot, and leave it, same for lowering. Works great for smoothing and area with a box blade, (like icing a cake :).

Norm, I think you're right and the lever works as you described. Move the lever to represent the height you want and leave it there. What's 'off' here is that's not the right decal on the fender to represent this action.

What I was thinking of is: leaving the lever in the extreme Up position, which I think is what he described, will soon cause the pressure relief valve to squeal. Pulling the lever all the way until intended height is reached is fine but then the lever needs to be returned to what feels like neutral - which as you said, will be forward or back in proportion to the height intended.

Wrong decal for the 1610 is correct and besides the handle movement this is the only adj. on a ym2000 to the Left. It prevents the Height of the lift arms. Technically pressure hitting the height adj. would be Neutral. It prevents the 3pt. arms from going up any further and won't go down past were it's set.
