New 1610D owner questions

Just skimming the last post. DO NOT use the decompression valve to stop the engine . Just shut the fuel off, it will stop. If the lever sticks or is slow to return, just reach down with your hand and pull it closed.

It has 250+ hours so they either didn't reset the clock or it may not have have been fresh off the boat after all. Either way I am going over the whole thing before putting it to much use. It does have some paint chips and wear so it has seen some use since it was painted.

1610Ds were made from 1979-1981 so its got to be reman or just "freshened".

Nice tractor, you will love your 1610d. I had mine over 15 years now. I had to do some work on it the years on it and overall not too hard to maintain.
