Yes it can be tee'd on the inlet, I like the double pump, I used my tractors hyd. so I was stuck with a single pump section. Tandem pumps can get pricy though.

That's a pretty long crowd arm, what's the length to the bucket cutting edge when straight?

Depending on the geometry and desired range of motion you might want to step up to 2.75 or 3in for the main and crowd, are you using a single pivot cylinder?

Not sure I understand the question but I have a 12 inch bucket. When straight adds a little over a foot. I am a little concerned about the length as well may shorten to about 3 1/2 to 4 feet.

Yes single pivot cylinder.

Just in case you don't know, here is a good place for pumps and valves: Surplus Center

Next dumb question where does the pressure gauge go if the reliefs are in the spool valves? Doe it go on the outlet of the first valve in the sequence? I.E. when I turn down the relief on the spool valve how do I determine the operating pressure?

Thank you all very much for the kind assistance.

I like to put pressure gauges close to my relief simply so I can see it while making adjustments. The pressure gauge should be placed between the pump and the relief valve. If you decide to use the double pump system, you would need a gauge for each relief. You also could use quick connects and use just one gauge, and swap for which ever relief you where adjusting.

Wow OK, I assumed the relief valve as part of the 4 spool setup would be the first in line and would only lower the pressure downstream (towards the spool valves) but I guess that makes sense as it would lower the pressure on the whole line.

I like the 4 gpm double pump idea but it would appear to make the boom extremely slow (almost 10 seconds to extend 18 to 20 inches on a 3 inch bore) so may want to stick with single pump 7-8 gpm and feather it.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Yep, the pressure anywhere in the line can't be higher than the relief valve setting, that is how it protects the pump.

The gauge can go anywhere in the pressure line.

On the TORO+Loader it is in the alternate pressure port on the control valve body, where I can see it from the seat.
