You've got a nasty long drive to any MF dealer from Volga. Just about as bad, equally, to Nettles, Bruceton Mills and Parkersburg. I know a guy near Lost Creek who bought a 4608 (from Lemon's) & his only complaint that did not get fixed quickly was lack of power steering umph when carrying heavy bales on the front and trying to turn in mud. He's had it since early 2014. I can give you his name & phone # if you want. Email me at billrymer@ieee.org as needed. My farm is near Lost Creek and I bought a MF2660 in 2011. LONG story, bugs are finally out of it and I love it now. As you know L&T went out of business in Sept. 2015. Some of L&T's mechanics are now with Hoover's on Corridor H just West of Buckhannon. They are pretty cooperative for me and would no doubt comment on that noise for you if you stop in and talk to the mechanics even though they no longer sell MF. I sure feel the pickle you are in -- if it's nothing to worry about then no big deal but on the other hand what if it is a defect ?
Yeah. Lemons is where it originated from. It's about 200 mile round trip. But a lot of farmers around here have Masseys in my area Mines a 15 model and can't say anything bad about it other than the noise. I've actually stopped in at hoovers before just to check out there Vermeer inventory.
