BX2370-1 / buyers remorse?

I still kinda think I should have gone with the B2601 in the first place, but...

Now that the bulk of the heavy lifting is done, it gets more and more difficult to justfiy trading my used 2016 BX2370 with 40+ hours toward a new 2017 B2601.

The main shortcomings right now are that I sometimes need more weight on the back, and I'd like to lift pallets that I can't with the factory bucket and BXpanded forks.

Your moving right along with your BX, sounds to me like your getting all your projects done.

The way I see it, everyone can have regrets about not buying a bigger tractor, but even a BX is better than doing it by hand.

I've been eyeing the L2501. The frustrating part is I'd be looking at that same ~$2K setback, seemingly with 1hr or 100hrs.

The BX2370 is "used" either way.

FWIW- I just traded my 2.5 year old BX2370 for an L3901. I lost a little over $2000 on the trade. It stings a little, but I feel like that was fair.

My ORIGINAL plan was to use the BX2370 to Xeriscape all 3 properties.

Right now, that looks like about ~300 tons of rock. At ~$70/ton, that's not going to happen any time soon.

I'm toying with the idea of just letting weeds grow / encouraging native grasses and mowing.

Still kind of up in the air whether I want to purchase a mid-mount mower (MMM) or purchase a dedicated mower.

As far as for planning on selling you BX and recovering X amount of dollars in the future, you never know what the market will be at that time or how much you actually will be able to sell it for.

Bx tractors make pretty good mowers. They are pretty heavy so they mash the ground down some is my only complaint. They also climb hills well. You might look at the cost of a deck for a BX and think you can buy a cheap riding mower for the same cost. If you yard is really smooth that might work. My yard is pretty rough and I was tearing up cheap mowers but the BX can take it.

A set of rear forks will greatly improve your pallet lifting weight capability, provided you don't have to lift the very high.
I seems like the number of people who are in the market for a BX type tractors is much larger than for the B type tractors, at least here in suburbia.
This may work to your advantage for a BX for B trade if you can find a low hour B & a motivated trader, rather than buying outright.
By the way - I do like your idea of letting the weeds grow / encouraging native grasses and mowing.

Had the tires filled w/RimGuard and G8100A wheel weights added yesterday.

Ordered the TACH-N-GO quick-attach and a set of fixed pallet forks.

Kind of settling in on the BX2370 being the right choice after all.

We had two old crabapple trees, two large lilac bushes, some other kind of tree, and a pine that I wanted removed.

I'd been talking to the dealership where I purchased the BX2370 about renting a mini-excavator. Was planning to do it next weekend.

In conversation, the salesguy asked if I had TRIED pushing them over with the BX. I hadn't.

First thing I tried when I got the BX2370 back from its 50hrs service, RimGuard and wheel weights (~220+50+50=~320lbs) was pushing them over.

No problem at all. Sure wasn't expecting that. I had previously been really disappointed trying to pull out small bushes / roots.

I figured you might become a convert!
