Taurus PT111 in my opinion is the best bang for the buck. Never had a single ftf or fte and it is quite accurate

One dealer I stop at stopped carrying Taurus due to warranty issues.

Taurus does have it's ups and downs...I've had several over the years (all revolvers). One (an old 669) went back to the factory for warranty work.
I never had much trust in their semi-autos, so I stayed away from them...but my primary (most often carried) gun has been a Taurus 85 light weight. Goes bang every time!

Now let's see how crafty you are? Actually just take your time getting it lined up as you slowly wrap it and smooth it out. It's sticky. Try to keep your oily paws off the sticky side as you apply. Enjoy.

OK, apparently I'm crafty enough. I'm sure they're on properly and I like the feel. One other question: The kit I got came with 2 mag covers for the 8 rnd. mags. They seem like they'll do a great job of keeping the mag base and the spacer from separating, but apparently precludes taking the mag apart without cutting the Talon, right? I only put one on for the time being.

As I'd written in an earlier post (on this thread), I'd picked up a Kahr CW9....took a few weeks to get the 200 round minimum break in.
In the interim, I picked up two holsters...one for pocket carry, the other an OWB holster from the Holster Store (Outside The Waistband Leather Holster).
The pocket holster is called the Sticky (Sticky Holsters - The Best Concealed Carry Holster) and is pretty nice for an inexpensive holster. It retains the Kahr and doesn't pull out of the pocket during a draw (which is exactly what you want). I recommend it...as long as the gun you carry is pretty light (and that applies to any pocket holster)
The Holster Store holster is a "Pro Carry Belt Ride". For an inexpensive leather holster, it's pretty nice. I'm wearing it (with the unloaded Kahr in it) as I type this, in fact (break in the holster, as any leather holster requires). Not as pretty as a Mitch Rosen, but also a lot less expensive (30 bucks versus > $50 for a Mitch Rosen). I'd call this holster more of a workman quality...robust and retains the gun quite well, but not particularly pretty.
I do suggest getting one with a slide guard, BTW. Better for the gun and easier on your rib cage.
Their magazine carriers are pretty nice too.

So there you go, two holster recommendations...
