Funny how anything and everything the conservatives don't like gets blamed on the "liberals". Even though the studio gave their own unrelated reason for cancelling, the conspiracy oriented right knows "the real reason". Does that sound familiar? And, of course, the "real" reason is always, the liberals. How convenient to always have a bogeyman to blame for everything and to know all about the inner decision making process at ABC.
Now, it seems, the petitioners think the studio will bow to pressure and re-instate the show. Because, you know, the petitioners have a lot of power over a private company and think they have the right to tell that company what to do. The petitioners want to tell the company what they must broadcast. Hmmm. So much for "free enterprise". Here's a suggestion if you don't like the programming, turn the TV off or change the station. Why try to be a nanny and dictate to the network? Or expect them to continue under pressure to entertain you? And here is another thought: they are in business to make money. That's the purpose of business. If they can make more money with another show, they will do it in a heartbeat. And why shouldn't they?
The so called conservatives are always playing the moral card or try to blame the liberals for everything, but at the same time talk about getting government off our backs, freedom, private property rights, etc. Oh wait, until their favorite TV show gets cancelled and then it's war and time to force private business to cater to them.
Maybe some of you guys can explain how you can force a company, one that you admittedly don't like, and is run by "liberals", to continue to entertain you, when they don't see profit in it. And while you continue to whine that they are morally wrong and that they are lying to you. I gotta see how this works out.:laughing:
