Houstonscott this will make your head explode: India cancelling huge coal power station because it wants to focus on renewable energy Country wants to become a solar power leader by 2030 "Gujarati state officials had planned a 4,000-Megawatt ultra-mega power project (UMPP). "It would have been the state of Gujarat's second UMPP. But the government decided focusing on renewables was a better longer term strategy.
India is **** hole, wouldn't mimic them. Lol.

Oh, we understand, be careful though, you'll end up in a dumpster someday.
houstonscott I've seen you troll this thread and many others.

Is your goal in every case to bring an end to civil conversation, from which the rest of us can hopefully learn something from one another?

There is no other apparent explanation for the meanness you portray.

Translation "I don't respect anyone not like me".

India is also working pretty hard on thorium fueled fission. More than we are anyway which is ridiculous since it's likely our best bet to power the grid with clean, plentiful and cheap energy. The oil and coal lobbies don't like it however and since they own our politicians you're not gonna hear much about it. They'll let everyone waste their time on solar and wind because they already know that stuff is just so much BS and doesn't pose much of a threat so they let everyone distract themselves with it while they keep stuffing their pockets with our money.

Why do you want a battery car? Why do you want to force through government everyone else to have an battery car? Why? Please explain why? Tell us the motive behind your interest in battery cars. I drive what's often touted as the most reliable and capable vehicle on the road. Why would I buy a battery car. I also have a sedan that gets well above 40mpg and has 425 foot pounds of torque, has a range well above 500 miles, and its fast, very fast. I'm a gear head, explain why I want a battery car.

You sound like an idiot. Why have a nationwide road system? I'm happy with my two track. Why have an intercontinental railroad? I'm not planning on going to California.

That's a no answer. Your not going anywhere longer than a cord in an battery car. Tell me why I should buy one. What do I get for my money.

Is this argument coming from someone who got federal tax credit for putting solar panels on his home???? You have a sedan that produces more NOx air pollution than any other passenger vehicle on the road today. Is that something to brag about?

And, gear heads should love the technology (21st century) behind electric, hybrid and various combinations of the two. What's not to love about regenerative braking? Free energy. Battery technology will continue to improve a lot faster than diesel emissions controls too so lots for a gear head to be excited about in that area too.

I think you will discover with AG blue the diesel produces less NOx that gas cars, and always beat gas on CO2. But those facts are not motivation for me at all. Reliability, range, multitasking usefulness is very important to me. I have no interest in a LI battery charging in my garage, burning my home down, ranges under 400 miles are completely non starters. Unplugging and plugging in is not acceptable. Hours to refuel is a non starter. Dangerous electrical shock hazards in a accident is a deal breaker. Leaking batteries in an accident is an EPA cleanup site. Again remind me why I want an battery car. Battery technology hasn't improved since 1980's and electric cars are 1800's stuff, rejected then, 21st century, not!
