Kaufman Trailers in NC sells a 7x12 12k with two cyl scissor lift for 5400. They ship direct no dealers.

the problem becomes the shipping.

1st, they dont stock the $5490 trailer at NC location, onl nebraska. NC only stocks the $5790 delux 7x12 12k. Now I could make the round trip drive and pay by cash and get a discount of 10%. So $5790 - 579 = $5211. then would have to pay tax when I registered in ohio. So It would cost me $5700 plus the 900 mile round trip.....

To have them freight it to me, would cost me $600 and I would have to have the equipment to off load a semi (that probably couldnt even make it in my drive).

So for $6400, they can deliver and I need to unload.

So I dont foresee me owning a kauffman an time soon.

I can see the math doesn't work. I got one of their equipment trailers when I was in Virginia it was a good deal.

Yea, would be a great deal if I lived right by their plant. Or was planning a trip there already.

Kaufman is a great deal if you are close. They discounted my grapple for cash and they don't even make them.

Bought a sure-trac 7x12 12k. Untested yet. So time will tell.

I have been considering the same. Keep us updated on how you like it.

So far it works well. I dug a goldfish pond in front of the house a had to get rid of alot of dirt. (haul to the back of the property).

Parked it beside where I was digging so I could load straight from the backhoe rather than have to scoop up spoil piles later.

8-10 scoops per load. No issues dumping. Hauled 12 loads. Best thing was I didnt have to get off the seat or even drain the battery. Where the hoses hook to the pump, I put quick couplers on there. Then some hoses/adapters to run off a remote on the tractor.

FWIW, the battery on my dump lasts at least 21 cycles (over 1.5 days). My charger said 55% charged when I hooked it up (not sure what that mean in terms of residual cycles).

Not a concern for you but, so far, I have not felt the need to bypass the on-board pump.

Dont know how many cycles a charge will last. Is your trailer power up and down both? Or just power up? And alot depends on battery size, and how heavy the load is.

But wasn't just about battery preservation. For $80 worth of hoses and couplers, the cycle time is at least twice as fast, and not adding any wear to the expensive pump unit, never have to worry about battery charge, and dont have to listen to the pump whining.
