Yep. Backhaul is the buggaboo.
Just had a drone visit over my property. Flew directly over my back field then retreated to the edge and hovered for a good long time. As soon as it flew over the field I went in and got my shotgun just in case they were brazen and stupid enough to hover in range. The property all around is thick with trees and the next door property is uninhabited. I assume it was being directed by a GPS program but I don't know the capabilities. It seemed as if the pilot could see me by the way it went and hovered just out of range and off my property boundary.
Florida law prohibits imaging of private property and specifically regulates against doing so with drones. If it persists I will find the owner and have them charged.
The most likely ownership and use would be from neighboring renters which are all on property owned by one person so I notified her of the invasion of privacy. She said she was texting all her renters to inquire if they were operating a drone. I believe they will not own up to doing it but will probably refrain from doing it again.
I was able zoom my camera phone to get a good video of the thing hovering.
Just a quick perusal of the FL law and there's a whole bunch of circumstances where it's perfectly legal to image private property with or without a drone....

The health care people "I" know who are on call, just put their phones on vibrate and walk out to answer them.....and I know quite a few!
Personally, I NEVER take MY phone OFF vibrate!
