Well...it looks like I can order....BUT, no $20 unlimited plan! That's from the web. I also called the local store. Same story.

Not sure where you are looking at but the $20 unlimited plan came right up just now when I checked. Even took a screen shot.

Found it. Part of the problem using my phone. The small screen changes the presentation.

In effect the at&t store flat out LIED to me this morning. How in **** do they stay in business doing that.

Glad you found it, did you order a Mobley?

Here is the link, the $20 plan is in the fine print: Device Configurator

Bought it outright, because my whole internet issue in state of flux. Will keep my options open. I'm working my way down to get rid of DIRECT tv, probably with PlayStation Vue.

While I will agree they did it wasn't intentional, they are just clueless. Not saying that is a good excuse but is the truth 99% of all at&t issues could easily be fixed with better trained employees. Their network is actually very very good, and only shy a few customers to verizon of being the largest US cell carrier. Just imagine how big their customer base would be if they just had better customer service.

Don't need training that much. Have a directory of products where an untrain person can key the term...ie Mobley...and it defines the product with link to there webpage where it's at.

--------------------

Yes I sure did....going to order the a.c. adapter too.

I hope you get one that is pre-activated, so you don't have to deal with AT&T service reps again.

The way to find out is power it on, in a few seconds the power light will come on. If it is activated, in about a minute the signal light will come on, but the lights are very dim and hard to see without shielding them from the ambient light.

Agreed. It's a bottom feeder job, and the turnover is high, so it's tough to get everybody up to speed and keep them up to speed.

I did have an issue with my Mobley connected to the Asus router after a power outage Saturday night. However, just unplugging the Mobley from the router USB and plugging it back in solved the issue.

I have to disconnect my router from the Mobley in order for it to reconnect. That's super sucky.

Got my Mobley, and it works fine. No USB skt unless the case hole-plug has to be pried out and there is one on the board. There is only one black assembly screw, the other hole having what looks like a 'tamper-tattle' silver pin with a plain head. Is this a reaction to everyone connecting to routers and going whole-house? Hmm ...

This was ordered on May 1 from a 'company' vs franchise store. It arrived a Month later (so what?) and it took longer to unwrap it than to go line with it.

Performance-wise, I'm used to being throttled to 3.6 Mbs down .9 up from the Comcast Loyal Customer Soaking Program at ~$45/mo for my 15Gb/mo habit and 39yrs as a subscriber, and 24yrs internet access/acct.

Performance is more than any of my uses can challenge, so speed tests don't mean much. I'll have to share my other email while saying goodbye to Comcrap's monopoly and my user account... until they buy Sony and the US government and we all get our number tattoos and tracking chips. (give 'em time, they're working on that, too.)

The USB connector has a flat sticker over it. Hard to see if you don't know it's there

The Mobley's USB jack is on the same side as the reset button. I believe there is a small plastic cover hiding it. More towards the OBD-II end. See pic...

No idea. I Googled for an image of a Mobley with a USB cable connected to use as an example.
