Seeing as how in 1950 I lived on Fox farm road in Warsaw, Indiana, I've always been intrigued with foxes. I have no idea how the road was named, and I don't recall having ever seen one. Now, on my Oregon property, I occasionally see one stroll by. I have no idea of any damage done by them. Actually, the reverse is true. Each time I see one I think back to my Indiana home. Another thing I read about them is their diet is quite similar to what an outdoor cat eats.

Exactly, nesting birds and ANYTHING else it can catch...

I don't think they are crossbreeding with anything. I don't know that coyotes are either. Just making a point that location can contribute dramatically to a species size and health.

Red Foxes good to have them living close by to me, they are good for cleaning up many other creatures. Just do not feed them or intice them, let them be and you will have no trouble with them

In the studies I have seen ,coyotes are over 90 percent coyote dna. No coywolf or coydog.

I would never say it doesn't happen. Cause anything can happen. I think it's extremely rare. Curious if anyone reading this thread can say they have personally witnessed any of this crossbreeding. Pictures and/or scientific proof would be awesome.

My Mother live traps stunks then gives them swimming lessons.

Probly not.

If I had the need to execute an animal I can't think of any reason I would ever use drowning.
