Loader Brand new BX2380 Front End Loader Issue/Damage

Hi,
Thanks for sharing pictures.

I am hoping to get one of myself, and now I will be on guard.
My first months when I take the loader off I will be thinking it is possible to get in to a bind.

Every thing can be fixed like an early poster said.
This has been one thing someone said to me as a "home aircraft builder".
It always stuck to me, it is always tough when we are not the ones doing the "building"

But your machine is an easy fix to the builder. Worry about the lawn latter.

Hope to join you in the new bx 23s ownership world. I have some hilly lawn and my worry is not to flip the tractor over.

I would take it on and off a couple times at the dealer or with somebody who knows how it works just so they can point out to you where you need to be careful.

Could be worse. Two years ago I took the loader off my M135GX when I stored it for the winter to have extra room in my machine shed. The next spring when I first needed to use the loader I found the stands had sunk in the ground. Instead of using another tractor to lift it up and block the stands, I tried jockeying it up enough with the bucket. I got it into a position where it jumped over the mounts and I had a loader arm on each side of my legs with windshield glass all over. Fortunately it missed my legs. When I traded the tractor and got my new M7 this month, I was still vacuuming broken glass shards that shake out of the nooks and crannies. My insurance paid for the windshield replacement.

I have a BX24 and have had similar, (but not as severe) problems. When I look at the pictures it appears that the two sides are out of sync. When that has happened to me I found that if I first operated the controls so both sides are fully retracted, then I could get back on track. But you have to make sure both side are the same before trying to put the pins in the pockets. If only one side is in and you operate the controls it only gets worse. Good luck, they are a nice tractor, I love mine.

I have taken mine on and off a few times. I still get off the tractor and visually verify that the pins are in the hooks before I lift the FEL. As the OP found out the hard way, it only takes a fraction of an inch to get into trouble. Maybe someday I will do it without getting out of the seat, but until then, that is 30 seconds well spent. :)

We're going to need a report on this! With pictures!

Plenty of good comments and ideas in this thread about OP's problem. Just a word of encouragement for him. We all make mistakes. Pilots joke that a successful landing is one you can walk away from, and so it is with tractor operation also. Read and learn from the constructive ideas here, get your tractor back in working condition and take the time to get familiar and comfortable with how it works. Take it EASY at first! Nice and slow while you are learning. The more experience you gain, the more the tractor's operation will make sense. Keep us posted about your progress. Most of us were new to tractors once and want to help you move ahead also.

I'm not sure you can just pick up the end loader, I think the hydraulics are probably holding it in place. You'd probably have to crack open the system and realease the pressure.

Or, move the FEL joystick with the tractor off, that will relieve any pressure in the lines.

That would relieve the pressure until you try and move the thing, which would probably either try a compress or extend a cylinder.

Put it in Float, although I'm not sure how that will work with that hydraulic manifold thingy disconnected.
