What'a the latest on LED 1157R (LED taillight replacement bulbs) swap outs?

I know they've been out for a while and some are brighter, some don't fit, some burn out quickly. This will be for my standard rear trailer lights



I'd like a few more lumens with just a bulb swap but there seems to be a thousand offerings with a lot of failures.

With a fixture like that, I would replace the whole fixture with something like:

I might also drill a hole in the side so the light from the side marker is visible from the side.

I've been down that path a dozen times - all the full light fixture replacements are too big for the little protective box. Even Hudson couldn't find anything that fit in there. Yes I could cut the box and rebuild it larger, but that's a lot more effort than a pair of bulbs for $20. I like the sturdy enclosure because branches don't bother it.

I'm trying to find a ~$20 solution rather than rebuild the trailer.

I should have put in my OP that I was looking for a recommendation of something that worked well for a TBN'er.

Will the round sealed beam light bracket fit over the front of the light box??

In that case, how about one of the round "lollipop" lights like semi trucks use on the front fenders? Drill a hole on a trailer side of the bracket for it to mount through and make it oversized enough so that it can go in at an angle and tightened it up with a big washer on each side.

The last time I did that all the links were like the one at HF 4" Submersible LED Stop/Turn Trailer Tail Light and the actual dimensions are

Product Width 4-1/2 in.

I just want to swap bulbs.

But apparently there are not many TBN'ers that have swapped LED 1157's into their equipment.

I have tried swapping with several different brands of 1157 bulbs. The issue I've seen with all of them is that there isn't enough difference in brightness between the running lights and the brake lights to be noticeable. That's why I've been suggesting other bulbs.
I have heard good things about the Sylvana LED 1157 bulbs but I have never tried one in person.
