Work him down on the price a bit more. Remind him, it's costing them money sitting there and it isn't getting prettier.

NOS but bigger for the "same"price as new and shiny with a little less H.P. would be a decent deal.You are sure to put some dings and a little rust soon enough.

Offer 25K for the 40. Tell him you're going to have to buff out and detail the tractor. It's new but looks old. Tell him you're willing to take it but not for 26. All he can do say is no. Nothing at all wrong with negotiating.

Difference between the CK3510HST and CK4010HST was close to 2K at the dealers I shopped at. Not sure where the other guys are getting $900 difference.. looks like $1100 to me in your case. Unless you've owned a tractor before, you're gonna need a bunch of supplies and tools, so it would be nice to have some extra cash for that. You'd probably get more out of your $1100 on a attachment, box blade or a grapple then you'll get out of the extra 5 hp.

Personally I would try to negotiate a little more on the 40HP. Gte that number down to about an 800 dollar difference and it would be coming home with me for sure.
