Thanks Rusty... I used a square tube roller gizmo the boss had, made by Woodward Fab. Hand crank deal, just kinda guess at it, trial and error untill its about right. It was a fun project. Quit the job before it got painted, but fab work was complete.

My dear friend farmed all his life and knew his tractors, but one laps in his safety consciousness (not putting up his foldable ROPs) while using his lawn mower took his life. It hit our local rural community like a ton of bricks.

Just wanted to remind everyone ROPs are there for a good reason whether we like them or not.

Little did I know when I made this comment, it would affect me personally.

Today was the funeral for a very close friend of mine and well liked person of our community who was a joy to be around. Several days ago he was mowing tall grass along the lain to his farm house when the zero turn mower he was riding went into a unseen whole. The mower flipped over and killed him. Yes, it had a ROPs, but it was folded down at the time of the accident.. His own son found him the following morning when he didn't show up for coffee at our local restaurant for our usual morning gathering. Sad, Sad situation.

My deepest regrets, and condolences go out to the family, the community, and yourself.

Yes, there are many safety features we dislike, and may even be ignorant about......The truth is the statistics....So many hurt or killed, they do what they can in the name of safety...

It is not a government conspiracy to make one's life miserable, just trying to save one life!

Good reminder for sure. I was trimming a back pasture yesterday and noticed a 2 foot deep hole that I never saw before. The bull must have dug it and it grassed over making it hard the see. Stuff happens even in fields you think you know.
