Tractor backfired and I assume blew the line off the fuel filter and the electric fuel pump just kept pumping out fuel. Thankfully I was standing behind it or my right leg and foot would have been in the gasoline spray.

Good evening all. 78F this morning, mostly clear skies, not much wind. Wind was more puffy than steady, skies clouded up some and temp hit 99F. Humidity has stayed high, and I don't want to see the heat index. ran errand in town until nap time, came home and never restarted :).

Good evening, Pets are vaccinated with very little resistance, either they are getting too old to play tricks or we are getting sneakier.
We were called out for a mutual aid fire today about 30 miles away. We were the the 5th fire department called. I was at Moms when the call came in so it was a 20 minute drive to the station and another 40 minutes to get to the fire area (in the next county). Two of our smaller trucks made it there in about 30 minutes and when I got there with "big red" they had the fire contained and said the big fire truck would not be needed. Iv'e had enough fire fighting for a lifetime and did not mind at all being sent back.

Wow Randy your fire looks like it was really intense. Hope your insurance will get your stuff replaced quickly. Glad you did not get burned.

Randy, that looks like quite a disaster. Sorry it happened and hope clean up and recovery goes smoothly.

70 looking to 83 and maybe our first real rain in 3 weeks tonight.

Drove up to Fredericksburg the other day. Noticed a number of oaks that looked brown...like the leaves had been eaten away and only the leaf skeletons remained...wondering if the gypsy moths have made it this far or some other pest. Moss, or Rip...know anything about? Saw quite a few in the Carmel Church/Ladysmith area.
