Forum guys also told me tractors don't like fluid filled tires but I've got frt & bk 90% filled on all 3 JD & worked great for years, but does rob a little power on hills.

Forum guys also said don't remove Tstat in my 4720, BUT that's the ONLY way to keep it from running hot.

I had mine overheat when I hit a bunch of sand, clogged up the radiator screen. It must pull a bunch of air through it. I blow the deck and body off with a 40V Oregon blower and use the compressor and air hose to clean the radiator after each use. Since then haven't had a problem.

I'm gonna have to get in the habit of blowing this unit off after OR before each use :-((

I always run engine at WOT. It must suck a LOT of fine clippings up over the trans.

My paw in law has same mower but with 60" side shooter & 55hrs & he's never had to dump radiator screen out one single time, where mine plugged up the first 3.5hrs of use.

The one I borrow from a buddy overheated. Well I heard the alarm and immediately knew what it was. Pulled the screen out and it cooled right off. The chaff and seeds build up quick and these pull in a ton of air.

Nope. Side discharge. Really caught me off guard but then I realized what I was mowing. I got caught up in mowing being fun again and wasn't paying attention. 1211 60". Even if I have to clean the screen out more often with the RD, I'll say it's still worth it

:2cents: I believe all decks are blowing the fine particles of dust and chaff down and around and being so lite weight the suction of the cooling fan pulls it up and into the screen/vented covers which clog up and prove they are working. Grass clipping being heavier are shooting out mostly as directed. I believe the Kubota ZDs and Fs will require cleaning screens/covers on a regular basis or mow wet grass . This has been my experience.
I mowed a couple days ago with the BX2370-1 R/I4s while the grass was still wet from dew and noticed how the 6" to 8" tall grass was laying down behind the tires and not getting cut the best. Maybe there isn't a perfect mowing machine that can be used under all conditions and work perfect!:laughing::laughing::confused3:

It's AMAZING how clean I stay with the RD Kubota Zero.
I am COMPLETELY COVERED with crud mowing with my Rear Discharge RFM behind my tractor.

Do you Rear Discharge guys have the two loop skids under the rear of your decks ?

Manual says remove them if you wish to avoid streaking of grass clippings left behind.
Goes on to say skid removal is ONLY for completely FLAT lawns. Which mine is NOT lol
