I did something like this for my metal shipping container and it made a huge difference. Vent down low for intake, and then up high to create air flow. Before, I was dealing with mold on just about everything. Now, after five years, I almost forgot about the mold issue I used to have.

FYI: If you look at the power adapter for many "sensitive electronics", you can see they really aren't sensitive at all. Example I can plug in my computer into any receptacle that has a range of 100V-240V, 50hz or 60hz, it doesn't care. Most electronics power supplies take whatever AC input you give it and rectifies / converts it to a low (example 6, 9 or 12vdc ) DC voltage.

If I had to buy a generator end for a small Diesel, it would be nothing but a Stamford. Genuine, not knockoff. Buy the adapter plate for the particular engine, that takes it to SAE and bolt on the end. Don't rely on junk when you rely on it. There's always enough other stuff to go wrong anyway.

Where my main genset exhaust leaves the building, I used an old four bolt bearing housing, without the bearing. Filled the space with high temperature silicone, so it would not transfer heat to the wood wall and would sound isolate it somewhat.

As previously pointed out , condensation is a problem in generator shacks . As previously dated the exhaust should use an insulated thimble . The hot air should exhaust through a set of gravity dampers that the rad fan blows open. The cool air inlet should also be gravity dampers that are drawn open from airflow.
A little bit of warmth to keep the inside of the generator shack 2-5 degrees warmer that outside will prevent condensation. A good source of heat is a coolant heater in the engine . Also allows the engine to rev up to full speed and take full load immediately .
A 600watt 240V block heater wired to 120V will make 150watts of heat and last for decades without burning out.

How often will the generator be used? If it's for emergencies, I wouldn't spend the money on any fancy venting system. Just leave the door open when you run it if there is a concern.
