No Hunting Purple

I can see how this would be a great way to mark private land boundaries that border huge public areas, but how does this work if all contiguous private property owners have their lines marked with purple? It seems like it would be a confusing sea of purple markings no matter which way you walked.

Then it becomes very clear, get the heck out and get back in the road.

It might clear then again it might not, instead of using the color purple for a No Trespass sign, someone in Mo. might used periwinkle and possibly making the colored trespass sign null and void, I could've been a lawter...................

There is a good reason a lot of us have never heard of "No Hunt Purple". Currently its the law in only nine states - Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, North Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Texas and Massachusetts.

Virginia also has Purple No Hunt. We have used aluminum no hunt paint for 30 years, but purple was added a couple of years ago.

Just to make things more colorful, Blaze Pink was added this year for safety in addition to Blaze Orange. :)

And so somebody in Michigan uses - Tandywine - a variant of Purple. Must you stay out OR is this an invite to come in and hunt???

Virginia uses Aluminum "no hunt" paint. I think we can all see where this is going. I, for one, certainly do not want to defend the color of paint I have sprayed all over everything, in court. The words " NO TRESPASSING " spelled out in any color paint means the same thing to all of us.

If there are just two of us, can we hunt? :)

In Texas, a person commits criminal trespass when he/she jumps a fence. If your property is completely fenced then the purple markings are only required at gates.

Its weird you post this, I just noticed some of the purple today. Didn't know what it meant but I do now.

That is one of the reasons I put I posted. I have known about it for a while, but it came up in a conversation the other day and I said I wonder how many people are aware and what other states do?

Back in the 1800's, people could not read, so playing cards only had shapes, and pictures, no numbers.
We are reverting to that with colors,, MANY of the latest generation are not bothering to learn to read,,

They can not read "No Trespassing",, hence, the purple color markings.

Ha, ha - and here, CADplans, I thought "many of the latest generation" were simply stupid. They are all reverting to their roots, how truly ethnically PC.
