I would not answer anyone that asked me that question, ever.. None of anyone's business..
I generally respond by asking "what the **** business is it of yours?"

Simple... If I can put my life on the line in the defense of this country, I see no reason why I should have to wear a seat belt if I don't want to. If I kill anyone, it will be myself. Long time ago I rolled my VW down an embankment when I was young and stupid coming back from doing some ice diving. No seat belt, and 2 full size scuba tanks in the back seat. Dumb luck, still here. It is however nice of the state to be looking out for my best interest though.
Besides that, it's worth the price of admission on how I handle it thanking them for looking out for me.
When it's your time, it's your time.
That said, I am setting an example for my boys and wearing it at all times when thier in the car![]()
Perfect example was Sigarm's video he posted. The LEO didn't care what the driver's answer was to his questions. He cared about the mannerism. Perfect example of an LEO analyzing the person he was dealing with and that person's intent.![]()
So with your boys, you are untruthful, or better said, "do as I say, not as I do"??![]()
Thus the reason why never give more information than your required to.
I do believe that same LEO was reprimanded, but that could of been for public use only.
I did have a state trooper pull me over late at night on the way to a hotel for work (he said I hit the yellow line and thought I was drinking). He kept walking around the car shining his flashlight in my car. I basically asked him to either write me up or let me get going as it was very late, I was getting tired, and I had to get up in the next 4 hours for work. He let me go. Personally, I didn't care. I don't drink and it was late, and he was wasting my time looking for whatever he thought I might have in my car that didn't exist.
No, I wear my seatbelt at all times when they're in the car. I can put A LOT of miles on for work (current toyota is coming up on 400k). Sometimes I honestly forget now that I have a family.
When I say "price of admission" last seat belt infraction was coming out of a bank and the guy wrote me up IN THE BANK PARKING LOT because it was taking me time to get the belt on leaving the ATM after working hours. Honestly, that guy (state trooper) was a prick. Same one who asked me why I was wearing a gun on my belt (after I informed him I was armed and had my sidearm on my waist).
Why is it that we haven't been stopped in 30-ish years and you seem to get stopped consistently? Are LEO's unfairly singling you out?? Profiling?? You definitely need to hire a lawyer!!!!
You continually make my point for me. I'll just stop commenting and let your comments make my point!!!![]()
I think we discussed this situation in the first 30-ish posts of this thread. The LEO could care less where you are off to. Not interested in the answer. Interested in the tone and mannerism of the answer.

Some of you guys are putting a little to much into this.. I haven't had much interaction with leo's but I have called on them on several occasions and each time I did I received NO help from them whatsoever so I'm pretty sure there are many that don't there jobs well at all, there people like everyone else, you have losers just like in any other job, putting them all up on pedestals is foolishness..
