To anyone looking at the B2650. I really like the cab with A/C. I don't have any trouble engaging the PTO, if you move the engagement lever very very slowly you can feather it in, I usually set the RPM to about 1200 to 1300 to avoid lugging the engine, then increase the RPM to obtain the correct PTO speed. I have turf tires, in our sandy soil they work great for both grass cutting and loader work. The biggest negative is the noise from the hydro transmission, I cannot operate without hearing protection, it is especially loud with the cruise control engaged.

It finally arrived this morning. I almost had buyers remorse as my old tractor was loaded on the flatbed. That tractor has served me extremely well over the years, and I don't have any complaints about it. But as soon as I climbed in the new tractor, closed the door, turned on the a/c, and looked around at the great visibility. I fell in love all over again. I'll miss the old girl, but this youngster is a great replacement.

I did take some pictures with my phone, but I am almost out of bandwidth for the month. When they charge me for the next month, I'll post a pic or two.

Joe :cool2: doing the happy dance.

Congrats BubbaJr,

I have a B2650 for almost 2 years now, 225 hours. No cab, no mower. Have quick attach FEL and have attachment blade and wood chipper. No issues at all. Easy to adjust attachments (I don't have quick hitch but may get one).

Easy to maintain. I will admit I don't like the cowling assembly much-- the hood is too much to lift. I think the front cowl should be separate and removable.

I finally got Imgur to upload a picture of my new B2560. I just finished cleaning up the trails in my woods, IN 89ー HEAT. No sweat (literally) with the AC. I'm Lovin it. :D WP_20170810_13_07_06_Pro.jpg

I guess you have to click on the image to view a larger picture.

PS. For some reason extra characters are inserted in front of the degree symbol, I can't get rid of them, please disregard them.

Same noise issue with my 2009 BX25. I wear headphones all the time.

I've got a brand new B2601 and no hydro noise at all. Might be a tiny hint when I'm in high range and low RPM. To those that have hydro whine, are you sure your using Super UDT2? I think the dealers sometimes , to save money, uses a lesser quality fluid.

I read somewhere, possibly on here, that some dealers are using a New Holland oil that will almost eliminate the whine. It probably needs more investigation though.

I know mine is very noisy, especially when I use the cruise control. But if I rest my foot on the treadle, it will eliminate about 20% of the whine. But ear plugs are the key. Here is one similar to what I have, but without the cord.

Hearos F4 Series 7422 Reusable Ear Plugs - CORDED (NRR 27) - Industrial Reusable Ear Plugs by the Pair (1-5 Pairs)

Question.....I'm picking up a b2650 in the morning...getting it with pretty much everything...R4's, loader, 3rd function, rear remote, backhoe, and 72"MMM. My question is, the 72" is not showing as being "quick connect" as the 60" is.....does anyone have a 72"? Is it going to be a pain to take on and off?

If you're old like me they can be a pain. They are definitely not quick connect. There is a lever at the front of the tractor that releases the yoke attached to the front of the mower deck. Then there are 2 connections on top of the deck that have to be released. At that point you can back over the deck and the PTO shaft will drop out of the coupling. Or you can leave the FEL on, and raise the front of the tractor and slide the deck out from the side. The real hassle is when you have to reconnect the PTO shaft. I usually take it off the tractor, attach it to the deck then after the deck is hooked up to the tractor, I crawl under the tractor to snap the PTO coupling back on the PTO shaft.

The procedure is the same as my old 2001 B2910. But the bad part is that I am a lot older now and not as limber as I used to be. :irked:
