Rear Remotes and Grapple on a 2610

How difficult is it to install one of those 3rd function kits?

The installation isn't bad at all; actually, easy according to many customers.

Check out this video by Jeremy, who bought the valve kit and a Wicked Grapple from us. His tractor is a Kubota, but the concept is the same.

Watch all the videos on ETA about your grapples........ think I'm going to go with the 50 inch wicked grapple for my ck2610?

Just wondering how anyone is running their hoses from the rear remote to the front of the loader for a grapple? I want to get one in the spring and would like to run the plumbing over the winter. Both my remotes are not detent. Thanks.

Yup. And real happy. Berlon 54" grapple.

Yes and very happy with it. Be sure to get covers and plugs for the hoses when not in use to keep dirt and debris out.

Been looking at the levers for the rear remotes on the 2610 and I think it would not be too hard to fabricate an extension that would put the operation of the remote closer to the Fel joystick?

I used a rear remote to control the grapple on my CK20. If you already have the rear remote then setting up for grapple control is easy peasy. Just measure for appropriate length 3/8" hoses (with adapters for 1/2" Pioneer fittings) and go to your local hydraulic shop. You can ziptie the hoses in place until you decide to put fancy clamps on or, as I did, you can just leave the zipties in place. If you don't have a rear remote valve then you need a kit from someone like MIE. Still not a big deal to install so long as you don't seize at the sight of a wrench.

I have a diverter valve from WRLong on my current DK40se but honestly I liked the simple rear remote better.

I feel the remote levers are just long enough and placed perfectly at the height of my right hand at rest...and slightly rearward.

Any longer, I feel I'd hit them accidentally.

I would however consider making one or the other lever longer for the sake of blindly feeling which is which.

Installed the Kit from MIE. Had to move hoses around a few times to get thing to clear the 3pt hitch. Never worked with Hydraulic hoses before. got hydro fluid all over the place when I moved the hoses around. I have a new bucket of cheveron UTF.....can I top off the tractor with this stuff with what came in the machine from Kioti??

Kioti says "Multi-grade transmission fluid rated for differentials, final drives, wet brakes, and hydraulic systems enclosed in a common reservoir."

They also list a few fluid brands specifically.

"Potential Transmission Oil
Supplier and Name
KIOTI UTF Hydraulic Oil
Exxon Hydraul 560
Exxon Torque Fluid 56
Pennzoil Hydra Tranz
Mobilfluid 424
BP TracTran UTH
Shell Donax TD
Citgo Mystik JT-5 Universal
Texaco TDH Oil"

I personally use Travellers premium universal. There are many things to consider when selecting or mixing oils, but in this instance I would not hesitate to mix in if the bucket meets kiotis description.
