I was really disappointed with the cab situation kubota offered with the m62. Above link is Laurin cab for m62. I really would like to be able to check out the Lauren cab in person. It has an ac option and is in general a good cab maker....

The price is what scared me off from buying last year. I did correspond with them with intent to buy. The problem was the price relative towhat they are offering. Frankly that whole cab looks to be smallish, single thickness construction, & mounted just outside the canopy supports - maybe even mounted to those supports. Built that way without dead air space and sound-deadening insulation, theirs sure doesn't look like the complete wrap-around cab structure that I see on other tractors. Well, maybe I'm wrong. I hope so. That's the problem with not being able to see one in person. But so far I'm not impressed....and certainly not impressed by the price. Did you add all the accessories, shipping, and installation charges all up? I don't have the figures in front of me, but I was floored.

But maybe there is some good to be gotten. Now if that front windshield piece is a separate piece - and it looks to be - then I'd sure go for that piece by itself. That looks enough to install. Then later maybe add some soft roller pull-down clear curtains for the off side and rear. Rolled up, they would store under the canopy edge. And simply leave the entry open. Not a perfect solution, but it would be better than naught in winter.... and for a small fraction of the cost of their cab.

I wonder if Laurin is listening in? If I had a small manufacturing business I'd sure be listening anytime a group of potential customers get together on a forum like this to discuss what they would like to buy.

Man, I壇 really go for a cab with AC, however, all of us that bought this beast did so because of it performance & thatç—´ what I couldn稚 deal without. It puts us in a perculiar position, there no place to upgrade without jumping up two model sizes above in order to get equal to or better performance. So youæ±*e looking at CAT, JohnDeere, etc. & even at that, the cabs are an optional. So for a real sound insulated with an AC I壇 have to spend $150k new to maintain my current performance while getting some AC... I guess I知 being cheap?

The funny part about being cheap is according to my mother & wife, I just went way over board & bought the cadillac tractor. They were considering a zero turn plenty big to mow 50 acres with. This is why you NEVER want to leave a woman in charge of the money..... EVER! They also both drive landcruisers that have never been in 4WD if that explains their mentality.

For sure. The S8 is even better I think. I will find out later than sooner. I can live without it, but boy it makes life so much easier when your camera, phone, gps, computer, mp3 player, etc is all in one device.

It has an ac option and is in general a good cab maker. It is really difficult to spend that much money without test driving. But those pics of the ç´*actory Curtis cab are good to see. It may be a good option if ac is available. Without ac there is zero chance of me getting one, these things are hot enough without the cab, I couldn稚 imagine sitting digging for an hour without ac. Might as well be in an attic. All though there a roof mounted acç—´...

FYI I put on a Laurin Eclipse cab this spring on my M59 and I'm very happy with it so far. Eventually I will post o blog with some photos. If you have any questions let me know. Looking forward to winter again...

The Laurin Cab can pass for a factory cab no problem. Prices are high yes. I got one this spring as they had a 20% off sale. It's a drop in replacement for the existing ROPS and you can use the existing factory roof. Lets see if the photo uploads here its giving me trouble...

The cab "fits" the existing tractor. Don't expect the same space inside as a 580 Case because the M59 doesn't have it. The cab does reduce the tractor noise in that I can now operate it without headphones and I won't have ringing ears after it. It's better than the open cab by far.

I installed it over a long weekend by myself no problem. It was way cheaper to buy it direct from the factory than to get it from a dealer. I did NOT get the A/C as I figured its pricy and I would only want it 2 months out of the year. I'm in Canada and need the hear more than I need the AC.

It's certainly an attractive cab.....makes a good-looking tractor look even better.

IMO, if Kubota just put the L series factory cab option on the M62, it would be the perfect machine!

I wonder if being a dedicated tlb put's it into a different rops/fops category (from a "tractor") as far a osha is concerned?
Your suggestion makes too much sense for there not to be a big issue with it :confused3:
