3pt lift cylinder scored- repairable?

The cylinder has been honed to a very fine finish and is now round, straight and exactly 85mm inside diameter. I machined the old piston away to leave just the concave seat as a press-in insert, made a new piston to accept it and assembled the two parts. The new piston will take a modern single-acting piston seal, along with two wear rings, hopefully those parts will arrive on Monday. I picked up several boxes of other parts for the tractor yesterday including a new hydraulic pump, overhaul kit for the top cover, a clutch kit, power steering overhaul kit, the list goes on.

I'm trying to follow too, but, it's making my brain hurt.

I'm doing such a major overhaul on this tractor that I should probably make a thread on the overall project, someone may benefit from my mistakes and I'm sure there will be plenty of members who have experience and knowledge that I can benefit from. To give an idea of the extent of the work I'm doing, the parts I picked up from the local dealer on Friday included a new radiator, water pump, rear main seal, sump gasket, clutch kit, power steering overhaul kit, top cover overhaul set, new hydraulic pump, all the way back to the PTO output seal. And there will be plenty more purchases yet. When I get time I'll start a thread with some more extensive photos.
