Eco Boosts when they first came out had no aftermarket parts. Ford part pricing was often 3X for common replacement parts vs a V8, JUST BECAUSE THEY COULD. I hope that has changed.
When an Eco-Boost gets all carboned up, which they do all too often, Ford says only fix is new cylinder heads. Blowing out the carbon wastes the downstream turbos.

Not so eco.
New F-150 rides nice, but just like old F150 at least on stock tires tend to handle like the barges they are. The new Chevy's steer and corner more confidently. Depending on type of road surface, ride is a toss up. Doge rides nicest, with air suspension but Quality Control is iffy.

I always thought the XLT package was the best bang for a buck on Ford Trucks.

I agree, especially if you don't care for leather, air conditioned seats, etc. I'm happy with heated cloth seats, power tow mirrors, navigation and a few other things that come with XLT premium. I would not have necessarily ordered the truck with everything that came on it, but it's how it sat on the lot and I'm happy with it.

For a lot of people it probably is since I think the XLT is the biggest seller. However, there are a few things that pushed me into the Lariat. There are some options you can't get on the XLT (at least in 2017) - leather seats, automatic (traction sensing) 4WD, 8" display screen, power folding mirrors. There are some others, but those are the ones I specifically wanted.

Not to give you a hard time Kenny, but my 2017 XLT does indeed have power folding/telescoping mirrors. But maybe that's a difference between F150 and F250 models. Kinda got off track.

If I remember correctly you could only get power fold with the telescoping mirrors on the XLT. I wanted power fold with the standard mirrors.

Entirely possible. My truck came off the lot, wasn't ordered so that was an option that I never looked into. Seems like I've read that starting with the 2017 model year the cabs are the same now on 150 and 250.
One thing I'll say, I really like the power fold for going through my local bank's drive through teller, ATM or night deposit lanes.

That's a lot of the reason I wanted them. I also fold them whenever I park in a parking lot, to minimize the chance that someone else will fold them for me. They try to standardize so many of the options now that I always seem to have to go up a trim level to get what I want. I had to order mine to get a Lariat without GPS. I wanted the large dash display but did not want to pay for the GPS I didn't need.

I just got back from the car wash this afternoon. Yet another reason for the power folding mirrors.

All direct injection gasoline motors get carbon build up.

We are on vacation in the Smokey mountains now. The truck has been getting around 20 mpg. The display so far reads 0.5 mpg optimistic. Some of that driving has been in the park and mountains to. I’m a little surprised how well the 5.0 lugs below 1500 rpms I thought it would shift more.
