Sixdogs - After seeing your front weights - should I consider those to stick to the slopes (driving across, not up and down) in addition to the loader? Or is the loader fine and just pick up some weight in the bucket? That's pretty much what I do now with my B.
Would anyone mind measuring the length of your MX, with the loader bucket on the ground? I'd really like to know the overall length of the machine with the bucket and a rotary cutter behind it to see how things fit in my barn.
For counter weights, my practice in the past is that my mower has worked for a counter weight and I leave it on pretty much all summer. Do any of you guys switch to a ballast box? Or a home made one? I've always thought the mower is fine, other than it hangs out there a bit. (remember, I'm looking to lift a 1 ton pallet of wood pellets just a couple times a year, low and slow)
Lastly, after everyone recommended buying used SSQA forks, I have not seen anything on Craigslist...nothing remotely close to me has even come up...surprising. Are they are to find, or am I better off just getting new and rolling it into the financing?
