Get a notebook app for your phone and use it. If not that, get a small note pad and keep it with you. NEVER rely on your memory for everything you need when in town, because once you are home, you really don't want to run back to town for something you forget while you where there. I try to never leave my place on the weekend, I will do just about anything to avoid doing that. Buy it during the week when you are already there!!!

Hear, hear! I always tell my Wife, "It's a good day when I don't have to drive anywhere."

We keep a running list of stuff to get at Walmart, Lowes, etc where we have to "go over the mountain" as they say around here. It's only 18-18 miles and we only go during the week. The local IGA is there for milk and such and the hardware store is a Stihl dealer. Within 4 miles we have Chinese, pizza, gas, a beer dist and fried chicken. All set. And I'm actually closer to a Kioti dealer now.

I go days without leaving here or talking to strangers. And we have a flock (?) of 7-9 does who just drew in 6 point and 8 point bucks.

First winter should be interesting but the snow fall here is the same as where I moved from.

Forgetting stuff is part of retirement! I went to the store for milk and stuff (only 4 miles ea way) and forgot the diesel and gas cans! Not out of fuel yet but I like to keep them full.

Sometimes it goes the other way. We went to town for some chicken feed and came home with the chicken feed and 12 baby guineas. How do you say no when they are only $2 each?
