Con artist is what he is, and a very good one. He hasn't delivered anything yet, except getting rich off of promises.

Why do you say he hasn't delivered? Surveys show Tesla Model S owners are very happy with their cars.

Re: taxes:
All of them, along with the entire deceitful, manipulative tax system, including state and local taxes, and property taxes.

Replace it with a retail sales tax, and user fees for particular government services. (Such as paying for permits, passports, etc.)

Stop pretending that businesses pay taxes, stop allowing Congress to pick winners and losers in the game of economics, and most of all, stop lying about what our tax burden is. Put it where it really is - at the consumer level, right in everybody's faces where we are forced to face the cost of our government.

Analysis shows that this type of taxation would heavily favor the wealthy. Are you okay with that? (I'd make out like a bandit, so I'm okay with that.)

There should either be rebates for everybody or rebates for nobody.

Isn't that what we presently have? Tax rebates for EV are available for everyone. Tax rebates for Hostess Twinkies aren't available for anyone.

Why would you take the time to use a re-write diversion instead of considering that battery capacity has limits ? Just because you have a worthy goal does it mean that it can be wished into existence . Nor can spending enough money can change the laws of physics .

You know the laws of physics aren't actual laws right?

Here's Coulomb's law: Coulomb's law - Wikipedia

However, if you dig a little deeper it turns out that the "law" is only accurate for static or nearly static objects. As soon as they start moving Einstein's theory of relativity kicks in and things change slightly:
Coulomb's law - Wikipedia

Like I mentioned earlier, our "laws of physics" only represent what we understand about the world at this exact point in time. Even if we know the laws for hundreds of years novel applications can combine them in interesting ways to produce incredible things. Take the transistor for instance, we understood the theory behind it for a long time but only recently has modern material science turned it into something that now drives just about every part of our modern life.

That's the stuff I'm talking about here.

You suggestion will tax the people on bottom the most. Low income people spend most of the money to live. Rich spend fraction of percent of income. Also you want to let corporation to pick loosers and winners. It was tried before and people ended up with over 1000 years of feudalism. Aka slavery.

I don't know, my crystal ball is broken.

Your definition of a battery is much too narrow. A battery can be anything that stores energy and can deliver that energy on demand. It isn't limited to the types of batteries we are all familiar with, e.g. lead-acid, NiCd, lithium ion, and other chemical batteries. To use a tired phrase, you've got to think outside the box.

The militaries around the world have been thinking outside the box for well over a century about how to store energy . Sorry to disappoint you but there is no magic or power of good intentions and noble goals that can overcome the laws of physics . What you see on TV as science fiction is not science fact .

Let me know when you get that lithium battery up to 50% of the speed of light .

Major red flag thinking... Debunked.

Tesla Announces Huge Losses, Reduces Model X and Model S Production - Breitbart It's just about over. We knew in late 1800's electric cars don't work. No one is going to want a battery car that takes days to charge. No thanks, just not practical. As Tesla goes, so will interest, bumping up against the reality of science and physical laws. Current crop of planned electric models planed by the real car manufacturers will dry up. We maybe at the peak right now, if you want one, you better make your move fast. Remember the Honda Insight.

Clearly the EV concept was proven many years ago. It just not a total replacement to gas/diesel IC engines today and maybe never will.
